# tikzphysics 1.8.0 release verification

Prepared on 2026-10-11. This update includes all three previously unreleased
change groups: shared piston-cylinder systems, compact percentage-anchor
storage, and the fluid/element/package visual corrections.

- All 16 regression suites pass, with new independent wave endpoint and
annotation-font assertions. All 122 feature references are current.
- All 59 example documents compile and their 160 rendered pages were reviewed
across the fluid/element and expanded package audits.
- Invalid geometries/indices reject with their intended diagnostics: 18 element,
  16 combined fluid/element, 15 native component, 30 thermodynamic, and 18
  thermal-physics cases.
- All 21 isolated standalone-bundle checks pass with a five-million-word
memory budget and empty user TeX tree. Recorder paths identify the bundled
  runtime without split physics sources.
- Eighteen affected gallery pages match split/bundled raster output pixel for
pixel at 72 dpi. Native patterns/fills, draw=none, dashed strokes, transformed
wave attachments, and document-font inheritance were visually inspected.
- The manual is 92 pages. Its changed pages were rendered and reviewed; the
existing enumitem negative-labelwidth warning has no visible layout defect.
- The full Overleaf archive contains 27 files; the single runtime needs no
sibling physics libraries. The source archive includes complete module
sources, editable manual/examples, module guides, PDF galleries, tests,
helper scripts, and the LPPL 1.3c license.

Evidence: `tmp/package-review-20261011/` and `tmp/release-1.8.0/`.
The archive manifest and CTAN validation/upload receipts are recorded separately.
CTAN submission, catalogue publication, TeX Live and standard Overleaf
availability are separate states. For immediate use, upload the generated
`tikzphysics.sty` beside the project's main document.
